HHC teams up with Calif. health tech company to offer membership-based primary care services – Hartford Business

Hartford Healthcare has announced that it has teamed up with a San Francisco-based healthcare technology company to offer a new, membership-based primary care option in the Nutmeg State.

The partnership is with One Medical, which  bills itself as a membership-based and technology-driven primary care platform. It offers a mobile app that helps schedule in-person appointments, renew prescriptions, and message with a provider. It also provides on-demand, around-the-clock access to telehealth services.

To date, more than 8,500 employers have taken part in One Medical’s services in other parts of the country, the company said.

The Hartford HealthCare partnership, according to a release, will allow employers to sponsor memberships on behalf of their employees using One Medical’s tech platform and HHC’s provider network.

One Medical said it would also be entering the Miami, Dallas, and Milwaukee markets later this year.
